It has been our pleasure to work with Barcelon Associates Management Corporation with Pinole Senior Village beginning in 1998 with the pre-construction design phase, construction consultation, rent-up marketing for the opening of our community in 2001 and current daily management. Barcelon Associates has exceeded our expectations and proven time and again their commitment to provide a warm and caring community for our senior residents. Their daily attention to maintenance, operations, and care of the residents allows our community to prosper.
Barcelon Associates continues to show excellent control over the property, including overseeing the expenses and staying within budgeted guidelines, maintaining a positive cash flow, staying on top of the building maintenance, providing staff training to remain in compliance with local and federal law, and by establishing lasting relationships with the residents at Pinole Senior Village. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the service we have received.
– M. Drazba, City of Pinole, California
I would like to recommend Barcelon Associates to anyone seeking an extremely competent, professional and caring management for their properties.
..… For the first time in many years under their management we are not running at a deficit each month. The property is in excellent condition and reflects the outstanding management provided by Barcelon Management. As a Board member for the past three years and now as President I highly recommend Barcelon Associates without hesitation.

We have been using Barcelon Associates of Walnut Creek, California for over 30 years. They have well executed their function during this time period.
Barcelon expertly handles the day-to-day operation of our two facilities including management, the finances, care of the physical aspects of the building and grounds. The on-site staff handles resident relations and problem solving as well.
Concord Homes is well pleased with the work Barcelon Associates has been doing and we are looking forward to working with them in future years. Their staff has always provided us with great service.
- O. Wilson, Secretary Board of Directors, Concord Homes Inc.
The City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Housing Authority have contracted since 1998 with Barcelon for property management services for two senior housing complexes. During this period of almost ten years, Barcelon has consistently provided a superior level of service to the City and more importantly, to the elderly residents of our two housing facilities, Ridge View Commons and Kottinger Place.
In my opinion, the company’s greatest strength is its ability to effectively manage the day-to-day operations at our two residential facilities. Resident satisfaction improved significantly when Barcelon’s contract began in 1998 and remained at high levels at both properties. The company has demonstrated the ability to attract and retain excellent on-site management and maintenance staff and handles all issues in consistent and timely manner to minimize impacts on the residents and City staff. There have been many instances where on-site management has “gone the extra mile” to foster excellent resident relations.
In Summary, based on our own experience of almost ten years, I strongly recommend Barcelon Associates Management Corporation to any agency seeking property management and related services.
- S. Erickson, Housing Specialist, City of Pleasanton
The management of Barcelon operates under an impressive system of controls and has implemented a variety of programs, reviews and oversight which we believe have enhanced the organizations’ ability to protect itself from both internal and external sources of potential misappropriation.
We also can report that Barcelon has adopted other relevant documents necessary for a strong internal control environment, including an Ethics Policy, Whistleblower Policy, Document Retention Policy and other policies which enforce the concept of transparency.
